• How safe is shopping on reidfurniture.com?

  It is vitally important to Reid Furniture that you can give us your personal and payment details over the internet in complete confidence. That's why we have invested in the most advanced site security available. It provides all the protection and assurance you need to make any transactions or give personal information privately and securely.

• How do I place an order?

  Once you have selected your furniture, add the items to your shopping basket. Each item is individually priced. Reid Furniture charge £59 for delivery in the UK. Except for the outer islands of Scotland, where restrictions apply items will be delivered to the Storage Centre, 38 Carsegate Road Inverness. IV3 8AX. Telephone 01463 710 107 http://www.storageinverness.co.uk/ for customer collection. We do not deliver to the Isle of Wight or Isle of Man.

  If you have any special instructions or important information, about access to your property for example, please tell us in the "special instructions" box. We will also ask you to confirm that you have sufficient access and space for the items you want to purchase.

  Then you will be asked to credit card details. If you miss any details, an error page will ask you to check and complete them before you move on. Once you complete your order, we will confirm the information you have given us. At this stage you will have the chance to make any changes to your selected furniture, delivery address and payment details. When you're sure the order is correct, click the "submit" button. You'll automatically receive a "Thank you" page. Please print it out for your records.

  Within 2 working days you should receive an email confirming your Reid Furniture order number and delivery details with all the contact numbers you need.

• Will I receive an order confirmation?

  Your official Reid Furniture order confirmation will be sent to you by email within two working days.

• Can I make changes to my order?

  If you want to make any changes to your order, in the UK e-mail us at csd@reidfurniture.com and we will do our best to help. Early alterations within a few days aren't usually a problem. However, Your order is unique to you and is made specifically for you therefore once the goods are in production with the manufacturer we are bound by law to accept them, so we may have to charge you a cancellation fee to cover our costs. Please note that when merchandise is ordered at different times we cannot guarantee colour matching due to variations between batches. Changing an order may cause a delay with your delivery time and may alter the price you have been quoted.

• How do I measure properly?

  It is your responsibility to check that all details and aspects of your order are correct, and suitable for your requirements. Check that your new furniture can be fitted into the room of choice, paying particular attention to door and entry, width and height. We will not attempt to deliver goods into an area where it is identified that the access is restrictive. In these circumstances, we will deliver to your door only. To avoid disappointment, please refer to our Online Measuring Guide, for assistance.

• Can you tell me the availability of a specific item?

  Before you select a product to buy online an indication of the current lead time for delivery will have been given on the product page. Please be aware that this information changes daily. Reid Furniture cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control. We will inform you as soon as we become aware of any changes in the time original given when you placed your order. • What if my order is late?

  You should have been given an estimated delivery time. If it changes, we will let you know straight away. While Reid Furniture cannot be held liable for any delays which are beyond our control, we will make every effort to keep you informed. • Can I order different colours?

  For the majority of our sofas, we offer the ability to order in a limited number of different colours, alternatively visit our stores for a far greater selection of colour options. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to represent the colour as true as possible, we have no control over external factors such as colour reproduction differences between computer monitors. Therefore, we advise that all colour options should be treated as a guideline only and that you should, when possible, visit our store where we have swatches for all our different colour options.

Cancellations & Refunds

• What if I wish to cancel my online order before delivery?

   If, after having placed your stock order, you have a change of heart for whatever reason, you may cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. All you need to do is advise us in writing either by post or fax 0141 810 3246 or by e-mailing us in the UK at in the UK e-mail us at csd@reidfurniture.com or in Northern Ireland or Eire at csd@reidfurniture.ie .Once we acknowledge receipt of your cancellation, you will receive a your refund using the same method as your original payment. If the cancellation of the order is within a few days of placing, then a full refund will be possible. If, however, the manufacture process is underway, then a cancellation fee of 20% will be imposed and retained by ourselves. A cancellation notice, together with your receipt, will be posted to your nominated address.

Delivering Furniture

• What happens on the day of delivery?

   You will be contacted by our Transport Department in advance to arrange a suitable delivery date to your home. Our drivers will contact you on the morning of the delivery and specify either am or pm. 

   

  Ensure that the delivery team has clear access to the room in which you want your furniture placed, any items that could get damaged should be removed, i.e. tables, ornaments, lamps, light shades, pictures, mirrors etc. Many homes have wooden floors, which may be easily marked and scraped. Every effort will be made by the delivery team to avoid any damages, but it is your responsibility to ensure that your floor is protected against this eventuality, as we will not accept any liability in this regard.

   

  On the day of delivery ensure that an adult is available at the delivery address to carefully check the unwrapped furniture and sign and acknowledge receipt in a safe and satisfactory condition by filing in the check list on the delivery note.  Please record any defect immediately on the delivery note and sign accordingly.  It is the responsibility of the customer to dispose of the wrapping and packaging. Assuming your goods aren't self-assembly, we will position the furniture as directed. 

   
• What happens if I am out when you deliver?

  As all deliveries need to be signed for, we will be unable to leave your furniture and it will be returned to the distribution centre. Reid Furniture will contact you to arrange a further delivery date. There will be an additional extra delivery charge. 

• Can I nominate a day or time for delivery?

  We endeavor to deliver your order as quickly as possible and usually no later than 7 days after it becomes available. We would appreciate you accepting delivery on the same basis. We deliver Monday to Friday You will be contacted by our Transport Department in advance to arrange a suitable delivery date to your home. Our drivers will contact you on the morning of the delivery and specify either am or pm.

• Can Reid Furniture store my furniture?

  Sorry, we are unable to store product and acceptance of your delivery must be at the earliest possible time and not later than 7 days after arrival to our warehouse. By delivering goods promptly, as soon as we receive them, we can give you the best value for money.

• What if my furniture does not fit?

  When ordering furniture it is important to check that it will fit into your house and your room. Please check all doors, stairways and the space it has to go into carefully. • Do you deliver overseas?

  Currently we only deliver to the UK (excluding the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man).

Payment

• How do I pay for my goods?

  We accept all major credit and debit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Delta and Switch.

  Upon our receipt of your card payment, and the successful processing of your order, we will send you by post an order confirmation. This also serves as a receipt.

• Is interest free credit available online?

  At the moment, we do not currently offer interest free credit online. Alternatively, we suggest you contact your nearest store for further details on our extremely flexible interest free credit scheme.
